Yoshiaki Kita

About

Born in 1967 in Osaka Prefecture. In 1988, he graduated from Nippon Photography and Imaging College. Since then, he has traveled around the world, including Europe, Africa, and Asia, photographing memories inherited from primitive times, using subjects such as children, ruins, landscapes, and animals.

In 2004, he embarked on a journey across two continents, covering most of the 35,000 km overland from Eurasia to Africa. During this journey, he photographed minority children and animals, once again being reminded of the diversity of races and creatures living on the earth. Currently, he is a part-time lecturer at the Faculty of Art and Design at Takarazuka University. He is a photographer who travels all over the world.

The ray which emerges from the symbolic black details associates the light of moon which floats in the primitive time. The theme of Yoshiaki Kita is pursuing primitivity. The primitive memory which can't be disclosed in today is reflected in portraits of the children's and skin of an animal from various places in the world. Genealogy of the mankind or who the existence of a dinosaur can be found in the images which were disclosed. Light has been primitized successfully in that sense. The life which exists in the photography is definite and it is the our beginning which we may not wipe out.
